A bite of China.
This is the first food documentary on CCTV's record channel. The program describes the food, the culinary culture, and the Chinese people's pursuit of food and good life. This documentary selects the representative individuals and families living in China's very different geographical environment (such as oceans, grasslands, mountains, forests, basins, lakes) as the leading role of the story. The great differences in natural environments (such as drought, humidity, heat, and cold) give these people a very different diet and lifestyle. How does nature give Chinese food in different ways, and how do we live in harmony with nature?
The staple food is the main food on the table and is the main source of energy for people. From the natural grain of ancient times to the rich food on the table today, a colorful world of staple food is in front of you. The documentary depicts stories about staple food in different regions, different nationalities and different styles, showing people's pursuit of the appearance and taste of staple food, the wisdom of processing staple food, and the deep feelings of Chinese to staple food.
The last episode led the audience to a return - return from the table to the earth. Take the food on the table as a starting point and focus on the fields that produce a variety of gourmet raw materials and explore the source of the food. How they are cultivated by humans in various ways, reflecting the environmental protection of agriculture is the way to provide essential quality assurance for good food - good and clean. This documentary describes the diversity, regional differences and agricultural diversity of Chinese cuisine, and tells the story of Chinese adaptation to nature and remolds nature for food.
