Flower bun is a Chinese folk flour product, also known as "flour flower." Wenxi flower bun is a traditional dessert in Wenxi, Shanxi Province, named by the flower's appearance. Wenxi flowers bun popular in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, more than 1,000 years of history, has formed a unique artistic style and a complete creative system.
Flower bun also famous for delicious, Wenxi flowers bun can also called as "flower cake", "flower bun", "mascot", "pan ding" four series of more than 200 varieties. It has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2008, and has displayed in Shanghai World Expo in 2010. Four world records were created at the "Wenhua Flower Festival in China" which held in 2012.
Flower buns are mainly made of white flour, and other materials such as beans, jujubes, rice and peppers; the tools required for the production are scissors, combs and choppers; product methods are cutting, kneading, pinching, pulling, pick, press, rub, dial, press and so on.
