The Fantawild theme park in my hometown,Wuhu,China
I would like to talk about a car journey I took with my three year old son at the end of his summer break this August. Our destination is the Fantawild theme park in Wuhu, a city about 150 kilometers to the southwest of Nanjing. I did a thorough homework prior to the journey because I knew the broadband connection of China mobile can be exorbitant and the GPS information sometimes is very unreliable. So I remembered the route by heart, and the journey was quite smooth without a hitch. The one-way trip took about 1 hour and a half, which was a pretty long time for an energetic three year old boy, but we tried to turn this otherwise boring trip to a fun time for him. We came up with different ways to keep him entertained. First of all, we tried to engage him in conversations. My kid did not talk much in the kindergarten, so the teacher asked us to talk to him more. We asked him to sing a nursery rhyme he learned at school and he did sing twinkle, twinkle, little star. Afterwards, he also sang the alphabet song for us. He also pointed out that the two songs actually have the same tune. Second, we tried to teach him something about the real world. Since he has shown great interest in vehicles of all kinds, we taught him the names of different cars passing to and fro on the expressway. We also saw multi-wheeled trucks. My son was quite excited at the sight of these monsters. We told him that these trucks transport different cargo. In addition to the oil-tank truck, we also saw a truck with many pigs. My son thought these pigs were just like us on a trip. Little did he know that these pigs were headed for the slaughter house. Nevertheless, we fabricated a story about the pigs going on a jolly ride. What is more, my son had rarely been out of town before, so I told him a lot about the countryside. We passed lush valleys dotted with villages and the idyllic beauty and serenity of the country fascinated him a lot. We also snacked on some nuts like cashews and walnuts. To my great amazement, my son actually liked them very much. Hopefully, he would stick to the healthy choice of snacks and avoid chocolates and crisps altogether in the future. The journey was not boring at all. Soon enough, we arrived at our destination.

For the first sight,I thought it was the Disney land...
