Traditional Chinese snack: Wantuo
Wantuo is a famous traditional northern Shaanxi snacks, loved by the local people. Wantuo invented by Shi Le in the early years of Western Jin Dynasty, can be eat as cold or hot food. Use buckwheat kernel add water to infiltrate and crush, gradually add water, mixed into a paste, filtered to the residue, the consistency to hanging spoon is appropriate.
Then put the flour paste into the bowl and put the bowl in the steamer, after steamed take it out to cool down, stripping from the bowl, hence the name of wantuo. It has light gray color, cut into slices when eating, shaped like willow. Tonic mix soup made with salt, vinegar, oil and spicy, pepper, ginger, garlic, coriander, sesame and some water. Wantuo mostly cold food, when eating cool, fragrance, smooth and delicious.
Wantuo is northern Shaanxi style snacks. The use of buckwheat juice cooked in a small bowl, when eat add special vinegar sauce, it is the local people are finally favorite snack. This is the autumn and winter cuisine, can be eaten alone, but also eat it with wine.
