Seven tips to keep warm in winter
Snow fight, barbecue around fireplace ... winter really can be the most wonderful time of the year. But the chills takes all the fun out of it! Luckily, there are seven tips to help you stay warm in winter.
1) take care of your feet
According to the University of San Diego, if you have cold feet, you’re going to be cold. A hot footbath before sleeping time is highly recommended. Also, don’t forget the socks. Keep warm by wearing thick wool socks.
2) drink hot beverages
Warm beverages will raise your core body temperature. The process can be very relaxing and stimulating. Hot tea and coffee, and substantial foods like pizza, meat and toast will keep your body warm as well.
3) seal the doors
Check around the door frame. You may want to buy weather stripping  to block on-coming cold air . At least, stuff a towel at the bottom of the door.
4) get close
Skin-on-skin contact is the most efficient way to share body heat. Cuddling up with your loved one is a good way to warm up.
5) put down  rugs on the floor
Nothing gives you the chills like walking around on freezing floors. Rugs help prevent heat loss through the floor. They are generally warmer to the touch than wood or stone.
6) dress your windows up in warmer clothes
Replace thin curtains with heavier wool drapes in the winter. And also, warm color makes you feel warmer visually.
7) get appropriate exercise
Physical activity raises your heart rate, gets your blood pumping, and raises your body temperature.  Moving around will warm you up soon. However,  strenuous exercise should be avoided. You don’t want to get muscle injury in cold winter.
Don't let the chills take all the fun out of the cool winter! Keep warm and enjoy all the wonderful things in winter!
