The peach sliceof Lianghe,the best gift of your travel
The peach slice of Lianghe is one of the traditional famous food of Xuyong county in Luzhou, a small city in Sichuan. It has more than 100 years history up to now, and it was first produced by a pastry cook called Luo Chengan during the period of Guang Xu in Qing dynasty. He used the high-class glutinous rice, the walnut kernel, the osmanthus , the pig plate oil and so on as the main raw materials. Through practicing and refining over and over again, he finally created the peach slice of Lianghe.
There are two types of peach slice. The soft type with a lot of walnut has unique flavor, rich nutrition. In addition, it is delicately soft, and continuous winding.
The crisp type with salt and pepper has the unique flavor, which is crisp, refreshing, sweet and salty . This type is cheap ,easy to carry, easy to eat, suitable for young and old, and the best travel gifts brought to relatives and friends of you travel.
Through the modern medical identification, the peach slice of Lianghe has the function of tonifying kidney, moistening lung, strengthening spleen and so on. As the story goes, a pastry maker named Luo Chengan opened a "Hongtai Yuan" candy shop in the town of Lianghe in the Qing Dynasty. He was also proficient in medicine. In the early days of liberation, the Xuyong County Committee and the county government specially sent a batch of peach slice of Lianghe to the front lines of the DPRK to express condolences to the officers and soldiers of the volunteer army and also to the leaders of the DPRK state.
