Before you take your baby to get an injection of influenza vaccine, follow these tips because they are really indispensable!
Winter is the high-occurrence season of flu. In order to prevent it, parents may take their kids to hospital to get the injection of influenza vaccine especially babies aged from 6 months to 3 years old, for they are most apt to be attacked by influenza virus.
Children from 6 to 35 months should be injected with influenza vaccine twice every four or more weeks. Baby with allergic constitution should not be injected at all; if he has slight symptoms of diarrhea, fever or cold, he cannot be given the injection either.
When taking babies to hospital for influenza vaccine injection, parents are supposed to get well acquainted with the following tips:
Firstly, keep an eye on your baby closely, especially the mental status. If he seems to feel unwell, the baby may get ill, and parents should take him to hospital for a check, if the baby is in good condition, parents can give him the injection. But you'd better take their babies to have a check before any injection.
Secondly, you’d better help the baby take a shower before the injection, for once injected, the baby is not allowed to touch water for a couple of days; change a softer and looser cloth for him, which is not only easier for the doctor to inject, but also protects the pricked skin form being rubbed.
Last but not least, make sure that the baby gets enough rest, and let your baby have some food before injection.
With these tips, is it much clearer for you about how to prepare for the influenza vaccine injection of your babies?
